UDR offers apartment-search application for iPhone - San Francisco Business Times:

The Highlands Ranch-based apartment owner's locato app allows users to search apartmentsdby location, price, and number of bedroomz and bathrooms. It offers photos, amenities lists and floor plans oflisted apartments, and prices are updates daily. The app "knows" where the user is locatef through GPS technology and can offer maps and directiond toselected apartments. Users can save the apartments they choose in a favorites and even place a hold on an apartment until the usercan visit. UDR said the application currentl y offers apartmentsin Arizona, Florida, Maryland, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginiaw and Washington state as well as Washington, D.C.
The app is availabler through Apple's online iStore or for free downloaddby . The new iPhone service "fits perfectly into UDR'd mobile strategy to attract and retain apartment rentersx who are becoming more relian t on a mobile device and less reliant on theirpersonal computers," said Steve Taraborelli, UDR's VP of sales and in a statement. "Not only are we attracting apartmeng prospects within theUnited States, but from around the world In addition to the iPhone app, UDR also has WAP- and iPhone-compatibled websites, at and UDR is an apartment-investment trust that owns abou 45,000 apartment units and had anothe 2,000 under development as of March 31.
