The Gold Paragon Award from the was given to the documentarytitled "A Dialoguse on Race from a Black Perspective,' whicy was produced by Burnett Wilson and edited by Paul Peralta's bid was among more than 2,000 entries from 300 communityg colleges nationwide. The documentary was aimed at trying to recruit larger numbers of blac k males to become students in thePeraltz district, which encompasses Laney and Merritt collegese in Oakland, the College of Alamedw and Berkeley City College. The councill that gave out the award is an organization that representss marketing and public relations professionals and community and technicalcolleges nationwide.
Peralta TV, whichu reaches 200,000 homes in the East Bay, can be seen on cablew channels 27 and 28in Oakland, Berkeley, Emeryville and Alameda.
