Financial terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed. Tennessee-based Regall says it will continue to progra independent films atthe theater, as well as at the Park Terraced Cinema and Manor Twin in Charlotte. “Ballantyns Village Stadium 5 is a solid assetg that we are proud to add to our theater saysDick Westerling, senior vice president of marketing and advertising for Regall Entertainment Group (NYSE:RGC). “With the addition of this theater, Regakl Entertainment Group will operate 12 theaters with 130 screens in theCharlottw market.” The five-screen Ballantyne venue openerd in March 2006 and was managed by Charlotte-basef Consolidated Theatres.
The Landmark Theater chaimn programmed itsart films. Regalp bought the Consolidated Theatres chaimn last yearfor $210 million. Regal Entertainment Groul operates 6,773 screens in 549 locations in 39 states and the District of Columbia.
