Lawmakers override card-check veto - Denver Business Journal:

http://reagenzglas.net/Reloop/Reloop-4000/
The override allows Hawaii labor unions to more easilhy organize workers by simply having them sign authorization cards. House Bill 952 essentiallt takes away the right of workers to vote by secrett ballot on whether or not they would want to join a replacing it with theauthorization cards. If a majorityh of a company’s workers sign the cards, the unionn would automatically be recognized and free to bargaibwith management. The legislation is a coup for Hawaii’ws labor unions who have said the card-chec process is simply meant to streamlind the present system and make it less But Wednesday’s override is perhapsa one of business’ biggest fears realized.
Employerss have adamantly opposed the calling it an intimidation tacticf used by unions to push otherwisee reticent workersto organize.
